I played important role in this project, being CG and pipeline supervisor, set designer, modeler, lighter, compositor etc. Animators and rest of the team done amazing job, so I had to maintain their level. Our goal was to make this movie in high image quality, but still doable in small team. I lighted and composited whole piece myself, so I had to thought out pipeline to make stuff easier. We used a lot of render passes from Vray and we unleashed power of Nuke for tweaking lights and using relight system, so we can avoid rerendering 3D scenes.
