I'm happy to present you Bufo, ancient amphibian warrior. Full production ready creature I created (model, textures, shading) in cooperation with superb concept artist Saby Menyhei, amazing retoucher Filip Zetek (4D-Photo) and great rigging team from RIG-IT for Autodesk. I started concept sculpt in ZBrush based on Saby's painting. Once approved I did final retopo in Maya and moved to texturing. Skin base displacement was made using Texturing.XYZ in Substance Painter, additional body breakup was sculpted in ZBrush. Rest of texturing, including costume displacement, is all done in 35 UDIMs in Substance Painter using ACES workflow. Then I moved back to Maya to make materials in Arnold. Once final asset was done, it was sent to RIG-IT and I created an environment using Quixel Megascans for a presentation. The render (in 14K) was then retouched by Filip Zetek to it's final look resembling a movie poster.
