It’s about year and half when Italian publisher Mondatori contacted me about placing my Conall render on the book cover. I was very pleased and here you can find the result. I made very simple background for them according to publishers wish. You can find original image in my portfolio.

After making a lot of preparation work in nuke for various shots, I finally finished my first complete non-cg shot. I’ve made fist shot of this commercial, base mattepainting of rock (finished by Matej Pospisil), then I replaced sky, added animated grass and all rock is projected on deformed card and rendered from 3d camera in nuke. So that was my first live action composition without cg stuff. Entire shot was made by our team in R.U.R. ( I also made matte paint of church and city, who will find that gets small plus). It’ll sound incredibly, but I’ve decided to finish my never ending story. It’s unbelievable, my first save is from 18.06.2008. I have to confess that it’s really painful to finish that, because I’ve learned a lot of new stuff since 2008 and now I feel that everything is wrong with this piece. But I promise, I’m going to finish it soon, very soon. Stay tunned!

After two years of freelancing, I’ve joined my longtime friends in building brand-new postproduction studio R.U.R. in Prague. We are going to focus on commercials, maybe movies in future etc. Wish us good luck and look forward seeing a lot of new stuff coming to my site soon.

At the end of year I finished modonaut challenge entry. But I don’t want to post it on website, character isn’t completed yet.
