Sad Alien – Update XVII

After few days of sculpting, posing, research, windows reinstall, etc. I have final sculpt for you. I hope you like it. This is last update from Zbrush. All details and pose is in layers so intensity of bump can be changed, it’ll depend on final render. Now I’m going to generate final displacement maps, normal maps, cavity and after that I’ll setup final lighting for scene, then shaders, post production and tadaaa, final  :D It’s long journey.

Sad Alien – Update XVI

I made another update of Alien. Yesterday I was preparing an eye. Here you can see result. In the first image is overall render with new displacement map, in second there is eye itself. It’s still wip, I’ll adjust eye color etc. But I hope you like it.

Sad Alien – Update XV

I’m here with next update. Today I sculpted details on Aliens face and brain, I think that they are almost finished except some tinny fixes, you can see it in second picture. First picture is render test, final image is going to be like it, with shaders of course. It’s very simple scene and render, which I set up in 30 minutes and postproduction test took me about 15 minutes. It’s only test, but final result will be near this, I hope.

Sad Alien – Update XIV

After little job and after holiday, I’m back at Alien. I made little update on his texture, it’s still handpainted. Head texture is almost finished, but I want to add some more tinny details and add more details after making bump map of pores etc. Texture of hands isn’t finished yet, but there isn’t much work to do.

Sad Alien – Update XIII

Here is my first attempt with polypaint. I want to try paint skin texture by hand and then, if it will be needed, I will add some details from photos. With painting I’m following book ZBrush Character Creation from Scott Spencer. I see that it’ll useful in future, but there is a lot of work with it. In this picture you can see face temperature and tissue mottling layer.
