Sad Alien - Update VII - Shirt
Next update is here. I tried to sculpt shirt, I hope that I was successful and you like it. Now it’s time too retopologize body and connect it with a head, which will be a little technical challenge I think.

Another day, another update. What a great sentence :D. I finally won my struggle with trousers. I’ve tried about three different processes and I’m satisfied with the last one try. I hope that you like it too. They are not finished yet, I’m going to add some minor detailes and some surface of fabric. Stay tunned for next update.

Another little update of Sad Alien. I’ve sculpted a brain, but I’ll be doing some tweaks because I’m not satisfied with it. Also I’ve excracted meshes for shirt and trousers and I’ve started sculpting wrinkles and folds on trousers, but it’s hudge battle for me. But I hope that’s a good start.

A little bit relaxed after holiday and moving into new flat, I’ve made a little progress on my Sad Alien. I created overall body proportions and sketched his muscles, they are too much visible for now, but I’m going to smooth whole body. In the image you can also see basemesh which I used to sculpt alien’s body.

Here is a tiny update on Sad Alien. I wanted to start body and I discovered that I’m lazy to do some serious quality modeling in XSI, so I’ve created very very simple basemesh, like Alex’s was for body lesson, and I’ve started to sketch body in ZBrush. It’s easier, faster and more funny for me. Then I’m going to retopologize body and connect both sculpts, body and head, together. I’ll bring you another updates soon, I hope.

I’ve decided to create whole body of Sad Alien. So there was a need to add base mesh for body to head sculpt. And I also wanted to learn who to retopologize models in ZBrush. I’ve done it today. In the image you can see old sculpt from sphere and also new retopologized mesh. I must say that retopology in ZBrush is really great tool, sometimes it’s little bit hard to work with it, but you can settle in that in a short time. I’ll bring you new updated soon, I hope. I’m going to model basemesh for body and start sculpting whole alien.

Yesterday I had holiday between classes with Alex and I had taste to sculpt something. Something like a bust of alien to test texturing, shading and rendering. I was looking for some concepts and I found awsome concept art from famous Carlos Huante. I love this alien. I’ve started to sculpt his head from simple sphere. In a picture you can see progress after 2 hours. I think I’ll sculpt whole alien in my spare time. I hope you like my new WIP called Sad Alien.

After very hard week at work, came holiday at Thursday. I was at work, but nothing was to do. So I opened ZBrush and my Hell Deamon. I’ve sketch out anatomy and added few detailes to face. There are still lot of diversity in anatomy and also in proportions, but I think I’ll be able to fix it. I hope that you like progress.
