Sad Alien – Update XIII

Here is my first attempt with polypaint. I want to try paint skin texture by hand and then, if it will be needed, I will add some details from photos. With painting I’m following book ZBrush Character Creation from Scott Spencer. I see that it’ll useful in future, but there is a lot of work with it. In this picture you can see face temperature and tissue mottling layer.

Sad Alien – Update XII

Yesterday I was generating displacement, normal and cavity maps for Alien. I’ve tested them, if they are working. So here is that test. Simple scene with Alien surrounded by box, lit by big fill area light and area key light and Final  Gather of course, nothing special :) Rendertime was about 6 minutes. I hope you like it. Final render is going to be something like this, but with textures and shaders.

Sad Alien – Update XI

After weekend I’m coming with, I hope, last sculpting update. I finished overall model, next are going to be textures from which I’ll generate bumps. So here we are, I hope you like it ;)

Sad Alien – Update X

After finishing Disney and after holidays, I’m coming back to my Alien. I want to try to finish model and textures to the end of January. So here we are with update, I oversculpted his head a little bit, especially forehead and few details all over the head and brain, and I’ve done a little tweak of his expression. I also made some details on his foot, then I sculpted hand and added nails. I hope you like another update of Alien.
